Ellen Bryan Obed grew up in Maine, never far from balsam-fir forests. Now she lives in the Central Maine Highlands, where Christmas tree plantations line the hills.
Anne Hunter grew up in Lake Worth, Florida. She has worked as an illustrator, writer, and painter for many years and lives on an old Christmas tree farm in Southwestern Vermont.
