Born and raised in the United States, Carolyn B. Heller had visited Canada many times over the years before she relocated from Boston to Vancouver with her husband and twin daughters in 2003. Sheâs since sailed within sight of Vancouverâs downtown office towers and snowshoed in the mountains above the city; explored the temperate Gulf Islands and the towering Rockies; tasted wine in British Columbiaâs Okanagan Valley; eaten her way across multicultural Toronto; grooved to the tunes of Montréalâs Jazz Festival; and learned to love, or at least appreciate, poutine.
Carolyn is an avid traveler and passionate food lover who has eaten on the streets, in fine restaurants, and everywhere in betweenin nearly 40 countries. As a full-time travel and food writer, Carolyn has contributed to more than 40 travel and restaurant guides to destinations from Asia to New England to the Pacific Northwest.
