André Pratte has been a journalist for more than 35 years. He has covered politics for most of his career, as a reporter, a columnist and an editor. He was Chief Editorial Writer at La Presse from 2001 to 2015. He is currently Advisor to the President of Power Communications. Mr. Pratte has written six books on politics, history and the media. His most recent is a biography of Wilfrid Laurier, part of the Extraordinary Canadians series (Penguin, 2011). The author lives in Montreal.
