Harvey comes home / by Colleen Nelson ; illustrations by Tara Anderson.
A young boy finds a stray dog and notices that it revives decades-old memories for a bitter resident at the retirement home he volunteers for. This forms a bond between the boy and the resident as he recalls stories about growing up in Saskatchewan during the Great Depression. Thanks to having a new friend and his new canine companion, the man is able to pass away peacefully.
