Summary: In Brokenwood, New Zealand, the residents live a bucolic existence amid picturesque scenery and small-town camaraderie. In Series 8, the droll team of detectives investigate a dying woman placed inside an Egyptian sarcophagus, a musician seemingly killed by sound, a neighborly dispute turned deadly, the world champion of the curious sport of spoofing found impaled on a fountain, a cowgirl gunned down over a gold feud, and the possibility of Brokenwood's first serial killer.
