This kit uses sound and imagery to support memory and mood and includes an easy-to-use dementia-friendly radio, preloaded with songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Use the tools at a relaxed pace and follow your loved one’s cues.
The Library’s Cognitive Care Kits are designed to support connection, comfort, and engagement for people living with dementia. Each kit contains simple, hands-on activities that promote relaxation, sensory exploration, and meaningful interaction. All kits can be used at any stage of dementia, but some may be better suited to individual preferences or abilities.
