Hudson Yang, Randall Park, Constance Wu, Forrest Wheeler, Lucille Soong.
Set in the mid-1990s, and inspired by a true story, FRESH OFF THE BOAT stars Hudson Yang as 11-year-old, hip-hop-loving Eddie Huang, who, with his family, is adjusting to a new life in suburban Orlando. Faced with new schools, new friends, new neighbors -- and new traditions -- the Huangs stay true to their family values as they pursue the American Dream. Dad Louis (Randall Park) moved his family from Chinatown in Washington, D.C., and turned the once-struggling Cattleman's Ranch into a successful steakhouse, fully equipped with a mechanical bull. Mom Jessica (Constance Wu) is a real estate agent, yet still finds time to bond with the neighbor over cocktails and Stephen King novels. Meanwhile, Eddie sometimes defies his mother's old-school parenting, but realizes she's got nothing but love for him and his brothers Emery (Forrest Wheeler) and Evan (Ian Chen).
