Heidi, a young orphan, is forced to go live with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. At first, she's frightened by this old solitary man. She learns quickly to like him and discovers the beauty of high mountain pastures with Peter, her new friend. But Heidi's aunt consider that this is not a suitable place to educate a young girl and decides to put the girl in a rich family of the city. Is Heidi going to support this life, far from the mountain and far from her grandfather?
