- Bloodlines of the Slave Trade. by Hancock, Markie,film director.; Video Project (Firm),dst; Kanopy (Firm),dst;
- Originally produced by Video Project in 2023.Examines the lives of two people whose only connection is a genetic link to John Armfield, one of the most notorious slave traders of the 1830s. Rodney Williams, who is Black, and Susanna Grannis, who is white, each trace their ancestry back to their distant ancestor, detailing the diverging paths their lineages took. While their relationship to this past is fundamentally different, and they never meet in the film, they both share in the telling of the horrific domestic slave trade and the ongoing reverberations of slavery.The film also navigates the lesser known "second middle passage" referred to as the "domestic slave trade." Starting in Alexandria, VA, where two of the wealthiest and most infamous slave traders of the mid-19th century were headquartered, Williams journeys along the Natchez Trace where in all likelihood his ancestors walked before him. In Alexandria, John Armfield and Isaac Franklin would either ship or march the enslaved down south to Mississippi or Louisiana for both future sale and brutal work on southern plantations. These cruel transactions involved separation from family members, long and arduous journeys chained together in coffles, and even more brutal working conditions once sold off in Natchez or New Orleans. His path along the trail illuminates the mechanisms and realities of chattel slavery, and illustrates the vast accumulation of wealth created by enslaved people, but held by slaveowners and benefitting their descendants.Mode of access: World Wide Web.

Thirty years later, however, it has. Though immediately outlawed, time-travel technology is quickly appropriated by the mob, and used to cleanly dispose of anyone deemed a threat. The process is simple: When the mob wants someone to disappear, they simply send them back to the year 2047, where an assassin known as a "looper" quickly carries out the hit, and disposes of the body. Joe Simmons (Gordon-Levitt) is one of the most respected loopers around. Each kill earns him a big payday, and he's got big plans to retire to France. Then, one day, as Joe patiently awaits the appearance of his next target near the edge of a remote corn field, he's shocked to come face-to-face with his future self (Bruce Willis). When the younger Joe hesitates, the older Joe makes a daring escape. Now, in order to avoid the wrath of his underworld boss (Jeff Daniels), young Joe must "close the loop" and kill his older counterpart. Meanwhile, the revelation that a powerful crime boss in the future has set the underworld ablaze pits the two Joes on a violent collision course, with the fate of a devoted mother (Emily Blunt) and her young son hanging in the balance.Canadian Home Video Rating: 14A.DVD, region 1, anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) presentation; Dolby Digital 5.1; described video.

- The attic on Queen Street / by White, Karen(Karen S.),author.;
- "Return to the house on Tradd Street for one last time as the bestselling series featuring psychic medium Melanie Trenholm comes to a hauntingly spectacular finale. After the devastating events of the past few months, the last thing Melanie Trenholm wants is to think about the future. Why, when her husband, Jack, has asked for a separation-a separation that might have been her fault? Nevertheless, with twin toddlers, a stepdaughter leaving for college soon, a real estate career to resume and a historic home that is still being restored, Melanie doesn't have much time to wonder where it all went wrong-but that doesn't stop her from trying to win him back. Their relationship issues are pushed aside, however, when longtime nemesis, Marc Longo, comes to them with a proposition: allow their Tradd Street house to be used as the filming location for Marc's bestselling book, and he will help Jack re-establish his stalled writing career. Despite Melanie's hesitation, Jack jumps at the chance. But Melanie's doubts soon prove to be well founded when she uncovers ulterior reasons for Marc wanting to be back in their house-reasons that include a hidden gem so brilliant that legend links it to the most infamous jewel of all, the Hope Diamond. But Melanie has an unexpected ally in protecting the house and its inhabitants-the ghost of a Civil War era girl warns her of increasing threats to her family. But she's not the only spirit who is haunting Melanie. A malevolent ghost seems determined to stop Melanie from investigating the decades-old murder of a friend's sister, and this spirit will stop at nothing to protect its secrets-even from beyond the grave.
